Car Finder Plus App Reviews

Would be better

if the GPS strength could be displayed and waited until a strong Signal is available before setting the position mark. Edit: added 1 star for the cool new icon

Tryed it today...not very good!

Im realizing that the gps function isnt very good... Got out my car, tapped my location in the app... Worked all day, came to look for my car.. I found it without the app... Turns out its easier looking for the car than looking at the phone screen.... Hmmmm Once I found the car, the gps said I was about 100 feet from where it said my car was... The gps needs to be a little more precise for an app like this... Nice try though, I had high hopes because I lose my car allot!!

A minor problem

This app will locate your car so you can see it on Maps, all right, but the directions are, about 2/3 of the time, exactly opposite to the direction you need to go.

First app on 3G - fantastic!

Ths is why I bought the iPhone. This is the first app I bought and used. Needed it, used it, found my car. Its great!

Almost useless

It showed me where my car was on a tiny map, but the directions were off by 180 degrees! Several hours later I checked for directions to the car and it wanted to send me west and south by 17 miles, when the location was actually to the north and east.

Worthless!

Said my car was in a field a quarter mile from where it actually was. Directions to get to it were wrong, even it it had been the right location. Taking even 99 cents for this worthless app is ridiculous.

Electronic marker in the palm of your hand!

Read about this app in The New York Times so I decdied to give it a try. Tested it twice outside the city -- its good, really good!

Tried, Tested, Terrific

I came across a mention of this in the media and am glad I did. Overall its worked very well, unless Im in a multi-level mall.

Very Functional App

I find this very useful. My experience has been highly positive with no incidents of significant inaccuracy.

What about level 6 and up?

Why stop at level 5? Parking garages now have 10 or more levels. This was the whole reason for me getting this app. To remember what floor I was on.

Reasonably precise

Not perfect but precise enough to be useful for me. Plus I like the "cool" factor of the app.

does not work

When i use the application, the first thing I do is forget where I parked. When returning to the car, after marking the spot from GPS as I leave and come out of the store and each time it tells me to go south east. That could be right some of the time but how am I to know. a disappointment.

Solving lifes little problems

Im a bit of a naviation nut. Im always on the look out for the latest and greatest GPS. Ive read some mixed reviews for "Car Finder" - from it "doesnt work" to "Fantastic!" - but thought Id try it anyway. So far its done its job well - and I test it frequently. Its been inaccurate a couple of times and I cant figure out why. Maybe the GPS gets thrown off when its wireless vs. 3G - I dont know. Other than that I like it and will keep using it. A talking version would be killer!

Disappointing

Disappointing. Inaccurate. Marked my cars location over 4 miles from the cars actual location. Cannot recommend.

Finder Keeper

Ive got tons of apps but this is the first one I took to trouble to review. Lost my car in Boston. Found my car in Boston. Prasie enough.

car loser

app can be as far off as half a mile, seldom closer than 100 yards. Difficult to "drop a pin". Fairly useless.

Car lost

In no way does this even come close. A half mile or more off most of the time.

Does it work? Oh yeah!!

I put this app on my 3G a couple of months ago and forgot about it until last night - New Years Eve. I had to parked aways from the club and had no idea about the area so I set it. When we got out we were totally lost (and totally fuzzy) - used "Finder" and... oh yeah, baby, it worked! If it hadnt, Id still be walking. Way to start the New Year!!!

Doesnt work.

It locates me several blocks away from my actual location (every time). And Yes, I do have "location services" turned on on my 3G iphone. I can even let the map program locate my exact location before I activate CarFinder and it still shows me several blocks away. I would have normally emailed the developer with this complaint but he provides no email or trouble shooting tips anywhere on his site so I am complaining here.

Little App, Big Help

Ive used "Car Finder" for a while. Im very happy with the application although every so often it gets thrown off - not sure why. This only seems to happen in parking structures which are more than 4 stories high... or 2 stories below ground level. Ive recommended it to other docs in my office.
